Fasting for 1.5 million seconds

I started my fast on Monday at 2pm. All that I am allowing myself to eat is a banana, orange, apple, or pear at midnight. I have called Senator Hagan's office as much as I can but we need to make sure everyone calls her offices every day. This isn't just about the Hispanic community!! This is about the 1.5 million students from all over the world that would benefit if the DREAM Act is passed. I get pretty hungry and cranky throughout the day but I know that I will be able to achieve my goal, OUR goal. The DREAM Act would benefit the students that: want to go to college, have a good moral character, graduated from high school, came to the US before the age of 16, have worked extremely hard to learn a new language, help out in their communities, help their families, graduated with your kids, nephews, nieces, friends, relatives, etc. have a job AND have excelled in school. Every student should have the opportunity to choose what to do with their lives. It is NOT up to the government to make the decision for them just because it is too controversial to take on.
Call Senator Hagan and let her know that I am fasting for 1.5 million seconds because she is not a co-sponsor of the DREAM Act yet.
